When we first got the chicks, we had them in a large tar paper circle with heat light suspended over them. After a few weeks we introduced them to worms. We weren't sure how they would react. We put a few in their containment and away they went. They instinctively knew to take it a run so the other could not catch them. It was like worm tag as they ran around in a frenzy chasing each other.
